The Challenged Champions and Heroes (CC&H) is an IChange Nations™ initiative begun by Dr. Robin Lococo and Dr. Penny Heflebower. These two have a heart to reframe mindsets regarding individuals with disabilities. CC&H is considering the challenges so many people deal with and wishes to award these individuals for being over comers. The movement has a two-pronged approach: first, to find and honor challenged individuals; and second, to find and honor individuals and organizations that work with and support the efforts of challenged individuals.

On April 23, 2016, on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Challenged Champions and Heroes launched their initiative and was able to award several individuals who are helping challenged people in their sphere of influence. Dr. Ruth Mizell was one of the recipients.  Over 90 years of age, Dr. Ruth has touched many lives. She is a great example and is very deserving of the honor she received.
Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I am happy to have Challenged Champions and Heroes as a part of our IChange Nations™ Culture of Honor.  I appreciate the desire and passion of these two ladies to find and honor these courageous individuals.  It was great to have the ability to launch their initiative on this global platform.”

Dr. Rivers is the founder and president of IChange Nations™, a professional institution that builds statesmen by equipping, mentoring, and training highly esteemed individuals who have the desire to change nations throughout the world.  The organization is seeking to bring global awareness by strategically helping nations to educate, train, and support the Nation Building Process, which is designed to improve the dignity and betterment of human life.  This international platform focuses on establishing effective relationships to help people understand the value of honor and basic human rights.
